wakin’ up and workin’ out

Every morning I wake up, make coffee, pack my hubby’s lunch, make breakfast, then once he’s off to work for the day, I go into the office and hit the play button on my favorite exercise video– the Insanity DVDs with Shaun T. It’s great–we’ve been doing the program for 5 weeks now, 6 days a week, with a rest day on Sunday. I never ever thought I would love working out in my home as much as I have enjoyed doing these videos.

New moms who are trying to lose baby weight, busy moms who don’t have a lot of time during the day for themselves, ladies whose family only has one car leaving you stuck at home…CHECK OUT THE INSANITY DVDS. Seriously. They’re addicting. It’s just the right amount of time too, and usually I can squeeze in a workout either before CM wakes up in the morning or during one of her naps. Most of the videos average about 45 minutes, and I feel like it carves out this nice little part of the day that’s for ME.

My whole day seems to go better when I have a chance to work out. I’ve noticed that my mood started changing. I am happier and more relaxed throughout the day, and I feel like I can confidently handle life’s daily challenges! I have more energy! I wake up every morning looking forward to getting my day started because I know it will set a positive tone for the rest of the day. As an added bonus, I get to watch my body change into something I’m proud of, and my jeans fit looser! :)
